EcoProbiotic

Our claims

What we say, and what we don't

For cosmetic product claims, we follow the six common criteria in EU Regulation No 655/2013. In Türkiye, the cosmetic product claims guideline of TİTCK (the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency) uses the same criteria.

What we say

  • Formulated against sweat odour.
  • It is moisturising.
  • Free from harsh sulphates and alcohol.
  • It contains prebiotics.
  • There are studies showing that hot water and harsh foaming agents increase the skin's water loss; we explain them with their sources.

What we don't say

  • We do not say it prevents or treats any disease.
  • We do not say the studies on this site were carried out with this product. None of them were carried out with this product.
  • We do not present it as proven that prebiotics in a shower gel increase moisture. The only clinical study on this found no difference, and we say so.
  • We do not say it stops odour completely or for a set length of time.
  • We do not use fake reviews, ratings or made-up figures.

Six common criteria

01

Legal compliance

We do not present a feature the product is already legally required to have as an advantage.

02

Truthfulness

Product claims are limited to the packaging and the shop page.

03

Evidential support

The scientific information is based on peer-reviewed publications; the source and limits of each are stated.

04

Honesty

Where the evidence is weak, we say so plainly.

05

Fairness

We do not disparage other products or ingredients.

06

Informed decision-making

Our aim is for you to decide knowing what you are buying.
